March 16 2013, a Bena Country Store-St. Paddy’s Day tradition will continue when we host Poisoned Dwarf!
I don’t think the old store could’ve endured another St. Paddy’s Day with the five-piece Celtic powerhouse. For those who haven’t heard the Williamsburg-based band, well… when the boys get going, the very floors shake. It’s a real coup to land Poisoned Dwarf for St. Paddy’s Day – and I expect this to be a sellout, as seating is limited. Click here to buy your tickets online, and ensure that you’ll have seats! http://www.gloucesterarts.org/.
Poisoned Dwarf is:
Thomas DeRose, Irish Flute
Wayne A. Hill, fiddle
Eric Hunter, guitar
Lance A. Pedigo, percussion
Stewart Pittman, whistles and Small Pipes
The concert will be hosted by Arts on Main in Gloucester, starting at 8 p.m., and Arts on Main will be serving up green beer.
Tickets are $15 each. For the first time, you’ll be able to buy tickets online to lock in your seats. Stay tuned for more information on that in the coming days. In the interim, you can save seats by e-mailing tickets@almostsquare.net.
Special thanks to the Hampton Inn for its support of the Bena Concert Series, by providing accommodations for the band. Please express your thanks to Tatem Davis of Hampton Inn if you see her around.
Hope to see you at the show. For more information on the band, visit www.poisoneddwarf.com.

Just wanted to test out my new Web site toy! Let us know what you think of our spring lineup – and who you’d like to see come fall 2011. We’re glad to report the music series is building with each show, and we continue to be amazed at the talents who are willing to play at our humble venue. Hope you can check out a show soon.
Hello,
I perform in an mountain music duo, the Whitetop Mountaineers. We play traditional mountain music, singing, and dance. Here is a link to our website: http://www.whitetopmountaineers.com. We were interested in performing at eh Bena County Music Series.
I also perform with an old time family band, The Whitetop Mountain Band that would be interested as well.

Thanks,

We visited for the first time last night and loved everything about the experience. The venue, the people, most of all the MSG Acoustic Blues….
Let me say we have heard the Whitetop Mountain Band and they are very good. Would make a nice fit for Bena.
