Glass-bottle Milk
We offer Homestead Creamery milk. All the milk comes from two dairy farms, both family-owned, both in Virginia.
Most organic foods – while better for you – don’t taste better. But with Homestead Creamery products, you’ll notice a definite difference in quality. Most customers say it’s the best milk they’ve ever had.
Local pottery
Brenda Mahoney was once among the potters at Sarah Creek Potters in Hayes, and now brings her brand of locally themed pottery to the Bena Store. We have a wide array of Brenda’s pottery, from mugs (with fish for handles!) to serving dishes. All her pottery is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe! Check out the variety in the photo gallery below.
Who is Shop Kitty?
Shortly after we opened the shop, Mrs. Warren sent Mr. Warren to work with the task of finding a good home for a nameless kitty. Well, it is rumored Mr. Warren, the proprietor, did not work hard to find said home. In fact, it is further rumored that, within short order, he purchased the cat a collar. A sparkly, pink collar. “I guess this means you’re not getting rid of the cat,” Mrs. Warren said. The cat renamed nameless. The suggestions were many. In time it became clear that the cat’s only name had to be its placeholder name: “Shop Kitty.”
